<p>Servicing Stack Updates (SSU&rsquo;s) are Critical, Security Updates. They are shipped separately to the monthly Latest Cumulative Updates (LCU&rsquo;s) because they modify the component that installs Windows updates. Microsoft strongly recommend that you install the latest SSU before the LCU.
